Tips to make a good 'About me' page

Today we had to work in groups and come up with the features and tips on how to make a good bio page on the website.

First of all it is important to post a professional portrait of yourself because it is very important for viewer to know how you look like in order to make a visual impression on you.

Then it is important to show and explain what is the main purpose of the website.

Do not put too personal information because even though the page is called 'About me' it does not mean that it is about you, it is about the work that you are doing and your aspirations in life.

Research

We presented visual examples of good 'about' pages.

For example, this website has a good bio page because there are pictures presented, the text is easy to read. The slogan makes a reader want to read the information about the artist. Clearly seen that the work that she is doing is connected to digital art which is represented by a picture of a camera. 

My group mate Mo, found Dashing Dish the most interesting bio page, in my view, the text provided on this website is too long, as a reader, I would not read the whole thing. However, as I keep up with healthy life style it might be interesting to read it. 

 'Crew' has a very interesting 'about' page because it is very simple, pictures and and a bit of information. However, it is quite hard to understand what are they doing, what is the purpose of their website from the first sight. 

Personally, I liked this page because animation is very attractive, the creator portraits himself in a cartoon form, I think it is a very good idea because by doing this, he also shows his artistic skills. He also pointed out clearly what he does and it makes it very exciting to see his works.
