Major Project process

Hi! So, I started working on my major project by taking pictures of the streets. Then, I sorted them out and selected the ones which I thought that I could work on and make something interesting. Overall, it came to 8 pictures. Almost every picture is taken from the same angle in order to have the same concept. By using Photoshop I want to make them all in black and white because I intend to print them and use bright colour of paint on to them. I think of using red or green colors. Because red represents the damage and loss and this color has a deep meaning in my view. But green on the other hand shows life and joy. I think when I get to the painting part I will decide which one suits better. Furthermore, I would like to try out different media on the printed versions of pictures.

 Here I present the process of choosing the final pictures. I used snipping tool to mark the pictures. I put a question mark next to those which I was not sure of taking.  

Here are eight pictures that I picked out. I chose them because they have more textured surfaces because I plan on making them in black and white colour I thought they would look as good as in colour. 

Basically, I used the same adjustments on every picture adding brightness and contrast and decreasing the saturation to minimum making it black and white.








I think they look even better in black and white, more contrast added. Now they have the same concept because there is more than one thing uniting them.




I printed out pictures that I decided to use as final pieces. Beauty in imperfection is my theme for this project. Using various materials I want to make a contrast in these pictures. I think that you can find art in everything surrounding us. In this project I want to show the connection of art and everyday life.
