Website editing+ research (contact page)
Today in class we focused on editing our website. The contact form to my contact page was added as well as the map to know where am I now. I also included short text in a box as you can see in the screenshot in order for a viewer to know that he can contact me any and ask me any question related to my work. The more so, I think that this kind of information and welcoming texts are connect the viewer and a website owner.
This is http://antonymicallef.com/contact/ 's contact page, he kept it simple without any text, just links to his accounts. As he is a professional artist he also provides a link to 'Wikipedia' because there is a lot of information about him and his work. However, I would add some text to this page to show the connection with the viewers.
For instance, Tatsuo Miyajima presents a very good contact page. It is welcoming and well organised including short text and links to particular places and works.
The thing that I like about this artist's contact page is that he also presents an overview of his Instagram page.
Reflection:
I think that it is very useful and very important to have a contact page because first of all, it is considered to be very professional and findable. It is one of the main and essential pages that any website owner should have because with that a viewers are more likely to become your customers. One should also bear in mind the location of Contact page on the website itself because it would be disappointing not to find it anywhere if it is located in the bottom corner or any other invisible place.
