Website reflection

It is my first time creating a website and I was afraid about how it comes out. With the huge help of tutors and deep research into various website owners I tried my best to make it work. My initial idea was to create an atmosphere on the website where a visitor may feel the way I am feeling about art. As concerns name, at first, I wrote only my name but then I added 'Fine Art' to clearly show my progression route. The template that I used is called 'Modern art gallery' this template gave me a good start to my own website creation. I did not want to make it very complicated, that is why I chose this particular style of template. I am still thinking about the tagline, because it is recommended to have one, it not only makes a website look professional but also eye catching and memorable. Especially in the area, the progression rout I hope to follow, it is very important to have an outstanding and unique presentation. Before even starting to create a website, I made a research about artists that inspired me to make the work that I have done Anselm Kiefer and Nobuyoshi Araki being the most influential ones. The former is a German artist, painter and sculptor making very deep meaningful artworks. He also uses mixed media which I find very exciting because so much things can be created with mixed media. However, as it is a digital art class I tried to present the mixed media that I tried doing on printed versions of photographs digitally and in my view, it came out better than I expected. I learned so much in terms of using photoshop and the abilities of this particular software. Moreover, on the website I wanted to keep it simple so I created only four pages: Home page, Major Project page, About and Contact pages. Because there are some artists who have a lot of pages and I think it distracts the attention of visitors and he stops focusing on the main point of the website. The purpose of my website is first of all to show people the work that I am doing concerning Fine Art, the potential users of website would probably be adults because they are the ones who understand current problems in the world and that is what I am trying to reflect, the connection between building and nature. I think that it is vitally important to have a digital portfolio website because we live in a technological era and internet is spread all over the world. For my website, I used static background image of Venice because I found this city a very unusual place different from any other that I have visited and the fact that it is an island surrounded by water of Italy. It is related to the work I am doing for my major project. I wish I took more pictures of walls, so I could work on them for my project as well, but, unfortunately, I did not think about that during the trip. I think that my image is suitable for the background and encouraging, so from the homepage a viewer has high expectations.  I tested the navigation a lot of times to make sure everything works perfectly, all the icon links and the links connected to pages work as well. The social media accounts are also proved to be working. As for Contact page and email link today Zoya tested it from her computer and sent us a checking email. So, I am glad that everything seems to go the right way.
